Salem VFD

The Salem Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1932, provides 24 hour a day, 365 day a year fire protection coverage. Last year the department responded to over 500 alarms with over 10,000 man-hours expended. They have 8 fully equipped vehicles to meet the emergency needs of the Salem area. In addition to providing emergency service and fire protection, the Salem VFD also added ambulance and paramedic services in 1992. Their service is no further away than a call to 911!
