Every year in
early October, the
Salem Apple Butter Festival
is held at Depot Park in
downtown Salem, drawing young and old alike to watch apple butter being
made in open copper kettles over slow burning wood fires. Our rapidly growing
festival has become one of the area's most exciting and anticipated events. Each
year, new activities are added
as the festival draws larger and larger crowds.
One of our newest activities is a
horseshoe pitching contest
